Team coaching & workshops

Helping teams work better together, not just talk about it

Overview

Ellen Hooper works with teams to improve how they communicate, make decisions, and work together day-to-day. Whether it's a leadership team, an executive team, a department or a Division, Ellen's approach is practical, structured and grounded in real organisational dynamics.

You need Ellen if:

  • Your team is technically strong, but not operating at its best

  • Roles, expectations or decision-making have become unclear
  • Leaders want a shared language for working together more effectively
  • You want to uplift your team's culture and you don't know where to start

Ready to strengthen your team?

Let's discuss how team coaching or workshops can support your organisation.

Team workshops & team day facilitation

Building shared understanding, language and practical habits

Team workshops are designed to create fast, meaningful insight into how people work, individually and together, and to translate that insight into concrete behaviour change (and can even incorporate Lego Serious Play).

Workshops commonly use tools such as:

  • DiSC
  • Clifton Strengths
  • Myers Briggs

To help teams:

  • Understand their own working preferences
  • Recognise differences without judgement
  • Adjust communication styles in real time
  • Reduce misinterpretation, frustration and rework

Team workshops can be anywhere from 60 minutes to a full-day and are custom designed to meet your organisation's needs.

Ellen brings a rare combination of:

  • Significant experience and world-class training in team coaching and workshop facilitation
  • Senior HR and organisational experience
  • Legal training and governance expertise

Team coaching

Strengthening how the team functions, not just what individuals do

Team coaching is different from training or facilitation. Rather than focusing on individual insight alone, team coaching works with the team as a system, helping members notice patterns, name tensions, and improve how they collectively operate.

Team coaching typically focuses on:

  • How decisions are made (and avoided)
  • How conflict shows up — or gets buried
  • How accountability really works
  • How trust, safety and candour are built over time
  • How the team responds under pressure

Particularly valuable for leadership teams who:

  • Are responsible for setting direction, tone and culture
  • Need to model collaboration across the organisation
  • Are navigating complexity, ambiguity or change

Ellen is a trained team coach through the Institute of Executive Coaching & Leadership, and brings a structured, psychologically informed approach that is also deeply pragmatic and commercially grounded.

Team coaching engagements are typically run over time, allowing insight to turn into sustained behaviour change not just a good conversation.
