Formerly Love Your Work
Career clarity coaching program for professionals who feel stuck
Up until now, your career has looked like:
Getting into an industry to make your parents happy.
Applying for a promotion because it was the logical next step.
Staying in a role because it was stable and not letting your boss and colleagues down.
Stuck on a career path because you were good at it in 2015.
Between building a life that puts everyone else first, you stopped asking what you actually want, and now you don't know how to figure it out.
Your Next Move guides you to find the answer, and then we make that change together.

You are a professional who feels stuck in their career
You've been telling yourself you'll "figure it out" for months (okay, maybe years), but the clarity never seems to come.
You used to love your work, and you were good at it. But then...
You started a family
You were made redundant
Your workplace turned toxic
Your confidence wore down
You returned to work and don't recognise yourself anymore
You started lurking on job search websites
You dream about rage quitting on the reg
You imagine starting a business
You want work that energises you, makes you feel valued, pays you what you're worth, and offers the flexibility to enjoy life. You're just not sure that's possible for you. You have commitments, constraints and complexity.
You are everyone who has ever joined Your Next Move.
How to figure out what you want from your career
You are not a special case. Over 100 professionals have joined Your Next Move, and every single person had doubts that this would work for them.
They have kids with special needs, they've been bullied, they are paid too much to leave, they believe they need to retrain, their partners' jobs are a factor, or they are the single earners.
Every single person has limitations, and they can still love their work.
Your Next Move is the process of finding the career that fits your life now.
We do that through a personalised strategy, group accountability, and an evidence-based career-coaching approach.

Make more change in 8 weeks than you did in the last 8 months.
Another book or podcast won't get you unstuck.
You've thought about it, and Your Next Move will take you from thinking to doing, with the structure that supports you. As one participant said: "You can't think your way out of a problem."
You need more than a 90-minute coaching session, but it doesn't need to take (more) years, either.
Your Next Move is where you can create the work-life that fulfils and excites you without applying for a thousand jobs, spending hours watching online videos, doing another degree, taking a huge pay cut or feeling hopelessly alone.
Get a pay rise, land your dream job or start a business
There is no single "right" next move. Your Next Move has helped professionals negotiate better salaries, find more meaningful work, step into leadership, start businesses and create careers that fit their lives.

$30,000 pay rise
Emma
A new role and a $30,000 pay rise
After ten years with the same organisation, Emma felt overlooked, underpaid and unsure how to move forward. She found a role closer to home with an organisation she felt genuinely aligned with, and increased her salary by $30,000.
$15,000 pay rise
Sarah
Two job offers and a $15,000 pay rise
Sarah joined after being made redundant. As a single mum of three, she needed another role quickly, but she didn't want to panic, accept the first offer and find herself in the same position six months later. Within six weeks, she had two job offers and negotiated a salary $15,000 higher than her previous role.
Tom
Left corporate and built a thriving business
Tom had been thinking about leaving his secure corporate role and comfortable salary to start a business. During Your Next Move, he clarified the work he wanted to do and how he wanted his life to be structured. He took the leap, and both he and the business are going strong.
James
More meaningful work, money and family time
James wanted to spend more time with his family and enjoy his work again. He realised his strengths were well suited to leadership and pursued a promotion that offered more meaningful work, more money and greater flexibility.
This is more than career advice
Your Next Move combines career coaching, work-life strategy and implementation support. It doesn't just help you decide what you want; it helps you make the change.
At the end of eight weeks, you'll have:
A clear decision about your next career move
A personalised career strategy
Criteria for assessing roles and opportunities
A realistic plan that accounts for money, family and flexibility
A 30-day action plan
Greater confidence communicating your value and negotiating what you need

From
Having no idea what's next
To
Understanding what is right for you at this stage of your life
From
Juggling work and life without a plan
To
Knowing what your career needs to make possible outside work
From
Endlessly scrolling job advertisements
To
Having a personalised strategy for finding or creating the right opportunity
From
Feeling underpaid and undervalued
To

From
Thinking about making a change
To
Taking practical steps that create momentum
The answer may be a new job, a promotion, a career change, a business, a renegotiated role, or a deliberate decision to stay where you are for now. The goal is not change for the sake of it; the goal is clarity.
A personal trainer for your career, a small group of supportive peers and a framework that gets you moving

Eight live group coaching sessions
Join Ellen for a one-hour session every Thursday across the eight-week program.
The sessions combine practical teaching, group discussion, individual coaching and the accountability to keep moving forward.
Small group cohort
Each cohort is capped at 20 people, so you get individual support and attention.
With strict confidentiality commitments, you will find that working in a group means you never feel alone; you'll feel relief that others are feeling a similar way to you, and you will get extra support from the cohort sharing their extensive wisdom, support, guidance and networks to help you make your next move.
Eight micro-learnings
23 short video and private-podcast lessons cover eight topics to guide you through each stage of the process.
They are practical, focused and designed to fit around a busy life, not become another enormous online course you never finish.
Eight weeks of personalised direct support
Between sessions, you can send Ellen questions by text, voice note or video and receive personalised guidance throughout the support period. Ellen has sent over 1,000 messages to Make Your Next Move participants
You are not left alone between sessions wondering whether you are doing it correctly.
Ellen reviews your CV, answers questions about dealing with your boss, helps you negotiate a pay rise and walks you through job applications and negotiating your next offer. There is no question too small or too silly; she answers them all.
Fast, detailed responses
Ellen answers your questions in person and weekly during the scheduled live calls. Between live sessions, she answers your questions and provides support on the Your Next Move community platform. She will regularly record personalised videos for you so you get thoughtful answers and it feels like you're having a conversation, at your own pace.
You can expect responses to be quite immediate (within 2 business days). If you mark a query as urgent, e.g a job application or job offer, Ellen will prioritise your response.
Practical toolkits and playbooks
Each week includes exercises that help you organise your thoughts, test your assumptions and turn reflection into decisions.
Throughout the program, you have access to three different personality strengths profiles to see your strengths clearly, and a negotiation style inventory so you can negotiate like a pro without feeling like a fraud.
CV, cover letter and LinkedIn feedback
When you are ready to pursue a new opportunity, Ellen will help you communicate your experience and value more effectively through personalised coaching on your CV, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile, so you attract the opportunities you're looking for.
Private podcast and session replays
Listen to lessons and catch up on sessions while walking, commuting or doing the washing.
You will retain access to the materials for six months.
Your AI career coach
You will also receive access to Ellen's customised AI career coach for support and prompts between sessions, 24 hours a day.
6 months of access and the option for extra support
As part of the Make Your Next Move program, you get access to the videos, private podcast, toolkits and playbooks for 6 months. You are strongly encouraged to download all worksheets and guidance notes so that you will have them forever.
It's not just about your next move; it's also about equipping you with the skills and frameworks to navigate your career for the rest of your life.
Your eight-week roadmap to career clarity
Your Next Move is not eight weeks of talking about your dreams and hoping for an epiphany. Each week builds on the one before, taking you from reflection to strategy to action.
Your strengths and ambitions
Identify what you are naturally good at, what other people value in you and the work that brings out your best.
Your priorities
Clarify what matters during this season of your life, including money, flexibility, purpose, progression, family and wellbeing.
Your timeline
Separate what you need from your next move from what you may want later in your career. Not everything needs to happen at once.
Your ideal work-life
Define how, where and how much you want to work, and what you need your career to make possible outside the office.
Negotiating with others
Prepare for the conversations your next move may require with employers, partners and other people affected by the decision.
Planning your next move
Turn what you have learned into a personalised career strategy.
Taking sustainable action
Begin making progress without applying for a thousand jobs, quitting in a blaze of glory or blowing up your life.
Integration
Bring everything together into a practical plan you feel confident acting on after the program ends.

From burnout to dream job

Hi, I'm Ellen Hooper
I started my career as a graduate lawyer at a corporate law firm at 22.
By 25, I was regularly crying in my office and knew something had to change.
I desperately wanted to move into HR, but after submitting approximately 50 applications and receiving zero interviews, I took an in-house legal role with the Victorian Government.
I loved the organisation and the people, but I still didn't love practising law. That gave me the clarity to make an internal move into HR.
Over the next decade, I built a career leading employee relations, culture and capability teams before becoming a Chief People Officer.
Then, after returning to work following the birth of my second child, I was overlooked for a promotion.
I was devastated.
That experience eventually pushed me to leave my well-paid corporate role and start my own coaching and consulting business.
In my first year, I made $35,000 more in profit than I had earned in my corporate role, worked ten hours less each week and was approximately 1,000% less stressed.
My career has not followed one neat, upward path.
I have changed professions and industries, worked full-time and part-time, job-shared at an executive level, started a business, led recruitment functions, and hired hundreds of people.
I am an award-winning career coach certified by the International Coaching Federation. I also have a Master of Management, a law degree and accreditation as a mediator, but the thing I am best at is helping people work out what is right for them.
I am not here to tell you to quit your job and trust the universe. I will help you understand your situation, challenge the assumptions that are keeping you stuck, and create a practical way forward.
I will support you, push you, guide you and make you laugh.
We do meaningful work inside Your Next Move, and we don't believe it needs to feel miserable

Stay, go or grow: Your Next Move finds what is right for you
A successful outcome does not always involve resigning. Sometimes it means changing jobs, starting a business or pursuing a promotion. Sometimes it means deciding to stay and directing more energy towards another part of your life.
Sally
Clarity and confidence after parental leave
Sally joined after returning to work following the birth of her second child. After working through her options, she decided to take another two years away from paid work. She now feels confident in that decision and knows what she will look for when she is ready to return.
Leah
A job she genuinely loves
Leah joined because she wanted to find work that made her happy. She later messaged Ellen: "I was walking to work today and realised I am genuinely happy, and how unhappy I was before."
John
His dream job without a pay cut
John wanted to make a career move without sacrificing his salary. He secured his dream role in regional Victoria, five minutes from home, working part-time without taking a pay cut. He also left behind the heart palpitations caused by his regular commute to the city.
Heather
Permission to prioritise her health
Heather joined in her 50s, looking for clarity about the final 15 years of her working life. She decided to stay in her current role while focusing more of her energy on her health, rest, food and caring responsibilities.
The right next move is not the one that sounds most impressive. It is the one that works for you.
Is this for you?
Your Next Move is for you if:
You know something needs to change, but you don't know what
You have been thinking about your next move for months without getting closer to a decision
Your confidence has taken a hit after redundancy, restructuring, parental leave or a toxic workplace
You are coasting in a role that looks fine from the outside but no longer feels right
You want more money, meaning, flexibility or progression
You are considering a new role, promotion, career change or business
You need work to fit around your real responsibilities
You feel undervalued, invisible or capable of more
You want a personalised strategy rather than generic career advice
You are ready to stop ruminating and start taking practical action
Your Next Move is probably not for you if:
You already know exactly what you want and only need help updating your CV
You are looking for a recruiter or job-placement service
You want Ellen to make the decision for you
You are looking for a magic answer without doing any reflection or experimentation
You are not currently willing to invest time or energy in making a change
You do not need to feel completely ready, but you do need to know that you don't want things to stay exactly as they are.

If you're nervous about taking the plunge, I get it.
The story you're telling yourself right now is probably someone else's. Maybe it's the voice that tells you that you should be able to do it alone and that you don't need any help. I've been there.
My clients make more change in the 8 weeks we spend together than they have in the last 8 years.
Maybe it's that you think this is too much money to invest in yourself. I totally get it. Most of my clients end up earning more or finding time and space that's worth a lot of money to them.
Money-back guarantee

Frequently asked questions
What if I have no idea what I want to do?
That is exactly what the program is designed to help you determine. You do not need to arrive with a dream career in mind. You will work through your strengths, priorities, constraints and ambitions before deciding what your next move should be.
What if leaving my current job isn't realistic?
Your Next Move is built for people with real responsibilities and limitations. Past participants have been single parents, primary income earners and carers. Some have had children with additional needs. Others have felt too well paid to leave or believed changing careers would require years of retraining. The goal is not to ignore your constraints; it's to find the best path within them.
Will Ellen tell me to quit my job?
No. Your next move may be a new role, a promotion, a renegotiated position, a career change, a business or a decision to stay where you are. Ellen helps you find your answer rather than steering everyone towards the same outcome.
Is group coaching personal enough?
The program combines a shared process with personalised coaching and support. You will learn from the group's experiences and questions while receiving individual advice from Ellen about your own situation. The group is intentionally small, so you do not disappear into a sea of Zoom squares.
What if I miss a session?
All live sessions are recorded. You can also access the lessons through a private podcast, making it easier to keep up while walking, driving or doing things around the house. You will retain access to the program materials for six months.
What if now isn't the right time?
There is rarely a completely convenient time to reconsider your career. You do not need to make a dramatic change during the eight weeks. The program helps you clarify where you are going and begin taking manageable steps towards it.
Is career coaching worth the investment?
That depends on what remaining stuck is costing you. For some participants, the financial return has come through a pay rise, a promotion, or a better-paying role. For others, the value has been reduced stress, a shorter commute, increased flexibility, better boundaries or confidence that they have made the right decision. This is not simply an investment in your next job application; it is an investment in decisions that could shape the next several years of your working life. Worried about the cost? We offer a standard three-month payment plan, but in special circumstances we can offer individualised payment plans to meet your needs. I don’t want price to be what holds you back from optimising the one thing you have to generate wealth: your income! Just contact us at ellen@ellenhooper.com and we’ll do our best to work something out.
Can I get an individualised payment plan?
Yes, if you email us at ellen@ellenhooper.com, we can offer up to six-month payment plans in special circumstances. This might be because: • You're currently out of work • You're returning from parental leave • Your partner's work has been impacted • You are navigating health issues Just let us know what's going on, and we'll see what we can do.
How much time will I need each week?
Ideally, you will join our weekly 60-minute live calls. If you can't make the call, you can listen to the replay. Each week there is an action activity for you to complete to keep you progressing. We recommend you set aside 15 minutes per week for this activity. If you're actively looking to secure your next job, you should put aside additional time (30–60 minutes per week) for the networking and job-searching that Ellen will guide you through.
How small is the group?
The maximum group size is 20 participants; however, on average, we have 12 people join each group.
What does "unlimited support" include?
You can post as many questions as you like in our private online community, and Ellen will answer them within 48 business hours. If you have something urgent, e.g., a job ad closing, Ellen will prioritise your question. Ellen will answer questions live during the weekly calls.
What happens on the free 15-minute call?
This is an opportunity for you to tell Ellen what's going on in your life and career, and to work out whether Your Next Move will help you. Ellen's core value is integrity, and she'll never recommend you do the program if it's not going to actually get you where you want to go.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
It can feel really hard to spend money on yourself. Your career is the key to your financial security and one of the best investments you can make. So, we take the risk for you. If you don't find the program helpful or you think it's not what we said it would be, we'll give you your money back, no questions asked.
